Our planned giving society recognizes the generosity of Hannah Senesh Community Day School alumni families, parents, grandparents and friends who have chosen to remember Senesh in their estate plans through a will, trust or other planned gift. A planned gift is a strategic charitable investment that can provide you with important tax benefits while greatly enhancing the School’s endowment thereby assuring a strong financial future for Hannah Senesh. If you have already included Hannah Senesh in your will or as part of another planned gift, we hope you will let us know so that we can recognize and thank you. Contact Angie Lieber, Director of Development at (718)858-8663.
Until September 2018, all gifts earmarked to our endowment from donors 70 years and older will be matched 1:3 by the UJA-Federation of New York’s Day School Challenge Fund.
A simple bequest in your will designated to Hannah Senesh is the most common planned gift.
Life Insurance gifts are particularly appealing to younger donors. When Hannah Senesh is the owner and beneficiary of your life insurance policy your premium payments are tax deductible.
IRA and retirement plans can be subject to high estate and income taxes leaving precious few dollars for your heirs. When planning your legacy consider using these assets first. The more you save on your tax bill, the more your heirs will inherit.
A Charitable Remainder Trust of Charitable Gift Annuity provides you or a loves one with a current income while leaving a legacy to Hannah Senesh after your lifetime. These provide tax benefits and possible increased income.
Outright Gifts of Cash, Stock, Real Estate, Closely Held Assets or Other Property These gifts provide immediate income tax benefits and
can be used to create your legacy during your lifetime.
