Our honorees spoke passionately about their Senesh journeys. Each expressed the significant impact that a progressive, values-based, Jewish education has had on their children. They described how Senesh helped their children become confident, life-long learners who aren’t afraid to ask questions, share their opinions, and take risks. They told us how Senesh gave their children a substantive Jewish education that was open and inclusive. Learn more about our honorees by watching this video.
Alumni speaker Jared Miller (class of 2014) explained how his Senesh journey led him to become a master of four languages, beginning with Hebrew language immersion as a Senesh kindergartner. He noted that Senesh gave him “not just a love for learning languages, but a passion for learning itself.” And all of the speakers relayed how being part of such a tight-knit and supportive community has been a fundamental part of their lives.
The program ended with a lively and entertaining text-to-pledge session led by Gala Co-Chair Avery Kotler and Senesh parent Melissa Kushner. These and all Gala donations help provide children with the unparalleled Senesh experience described by our Gala speakers.
It was a beautiful evening full of warmth, celebration, and love for Senesh. Mazal tov again to Rachel Levine and Andrew Ceresney, Emily Reisbaum and Scott Medintz, and Rachel Abel on their well-deserved honors.
