The Hannah Senesh Parent Association provides a number of opportunities throughout the school year for families to dedicate time and effort to the community.  Get involved!  Look below to find out about upcoming social action events. Families will get more details via email. Upcoming Events

January 21: Third Grade Families at Repair the World
Families will meet at Repair the World at 10am and engage in learning about food justice as well as a hands on project.

February 11: Second Grade at Cobble Hill Health Center
Second graders and their families are invited to visit Cobble Hill Health Center to sign songs and mingle with elderly residents.

May 11: Eighth Grade Volunteering at Project Ezra
Eighth graders and their parents are invited to volunteer at Project Ezra, delivering Shabbat supplies and providing company to Jewish elderly on the Lower East Side after school.

April 29:  First Grade Families Planting and Gardening at Senesh
In line with the theme of Shmirat HaAdamah (taking care of the earth), parents will join their children for a morning of fun, learning, and nurturing the trees around the school with Anne Lilly.

April 29: Fourth and Fifth Grade Families Host a Special Event at Senesh
In the line with the social action theme of Kavod L’Zolat (respecting others), save the date for a special event with KEEN- an NYC organization that provides non-competitive physical activities for youth with disabilities. This event will take place at Hannah Senesh from 1-2:30pm in the Gym.
