Kindergarten Hebrew Studies

Dear Kindergarten parents הורים יקרים,

It was great to have you all in our Sukkah Breakfast yesterday!

This was a very busy week in Kindergarten as we learned a lot about Sukkot and Simchat Torah. The students made a long paper chain and some Israeli style cut out decorations (known as snowflakes) to decorate our sukkah. In addition, we learned the Bracha for the Lulav, used a real hammer and nail, built a Sukkah from blocks, worked on a Sukkah puzzle, discussed the weather, used classroom vocabulary, met our fourth grade buddies, built a candy Sukkah with the eighth graders and the PA, made a mini Torah and flag, danced in the Simchat Torah celebration, and of course celebrated Shabbat.

Next week in Hebrew we will begin to work on the verb “I eat” and start our prayer curriculum.
Next Friday, October 5th we will begin our Tzedakah routine:
Every Friday during Kabbalat Shabbat, the children collect Tzedakah for a charity of their choice (the children will vote and let you know about the chosen charity). Please send a few coins every Friday morning or keep a few coins in a ziplock bag in their cubby.

Please see below the list phrases and words.

And please, let us know if you have any questions.

Shabbat Shalom,

Tal and Alex
