Day 14: Tuesday, 4/24 – blog post and photos

Shalom Chaverim! Today is our last day in Israel, but we still had an action packed day! We packed up from the hotel, and drove to Kibbutz Gesher, on the border of Jordan, where we learned about the history of the Kibbutz and all the struggles they went through. After that we drove to Sachne, and had the little fish from the water nibble on our feet like we were in a spa. After we dried off and had lunch, we drove to Yemin Orde. It was very interesting, and the kids that go there either made Aliyah on their own and don’t have family in Israel, are or kids who were living in unsafe environments. Next, we went to our closing ceremony for the trip, and had our last supper together. Tears were shed as we were very sad to leave this great place, and to leave new friends from Gottesman. As we write, we are driving to the airport to say goodbye to our madrichim, Orna and Ori. Though we are really excited to come back to see our family, we are all very sad that we have to leave.

Alex and Jorden, signing off for the last time.

P.S. Happy Birthday to Jorden’s mom, Ilana! (Happy Birthday Mommy!)
