The Penultimate Week!

Hello Fourth Grade Families! Wow! Can you believe we are down to one week left of the school year? The fourth-soon-to-be-fifth graders had a very busy week! From meeting with middle schoolers to finishing final projects to rehearsing for Friday’s performance, our students have been giving it their all! Hello Fourth Grade Families! We’re only three weeks away from the last day of school, and only two weeks away from our end of the year performance! We can hardly believe it! Hello Fourth Grade Families! Whew! We made it through the ERBs! The fourth grade did a beautiful job handling the pressure, and we are very proud of them. Lag BaOmer Week!

Hello Fourth Grade Families! Can you believe there are only five weeks left of the school year? We can’t believe it either! This week fourth graders have interviewed family, friends, and members of Senesh staff and community for their immigration projects, learned the multiple stories behind Lag BaOmer, and then enjoyed a fun day of sports and competition in Prospect Park! It Might be May…Maybe

Hello Fourth Grade Families! What a busy week we’ve had! The fourth grade attended a Memorial Tekes with the Shinshinim on Monday for Yom HaZikaron, followed by a day full of fun and activities on Tuesday for Yom Ha’atzmaut! Students attended stations run by teachers, where they got to taste test tea, build a 3D map of Israel, and create seed balls to grow their own wildflowers! A Week of April Showers

Hello Fourth Grade Families! Along with the intense rain this week, we’ve also got a lot of school work! We’re gearing up in preparation for the end of the school year. It’s hard to believe there are only seven weeks left of school! This week, we commemorated Yom HaShoa with a very special guest speaker (see below), visited the Brooklyn Autism Center, and counted the days of the Omer together. The Last Leg Begins!

Dear Fourth Grade Families, It has been a nice short week back in fourth grade. On Wednesday, we had an in-school writing retreat! Fourth graders each brought in things that make them happy and we all placed them on a special space in the front of the room. Students used it as inspiration throughout the writing retreat. They were wearing slippers and had blankets across their lap, getting extra cozy and writing their hearts out. In total, the fourth graders each wrote for 128 minutes on Wednesday. Hello Fourth Grade Families! Thank you all so much for coming to Kesher Day on Monday! The kids were thrilled to have you, and we all had a great time building structures out of spaghetti, tape, and string in our marshmallow challenge!
