Progress report #3 was sent out today.

Hebrew

This week in Hebrew we dedicated our lessons to learn more about Yom Hazikarion.
Students learned in depth about how meaningful this day is for Israel, this year we focused on victims of terror rather than soldiers .
They learned about Kobi Mandell a 13 year old boy that was a victim and how his family took their personal tragedy and did something good with it by starting a summer camp for bereaved families.

הורים יקרים,
השבוע הקדשנו את הזמן לחיזוק יסודות הדקדוק. התלמידות ערכו תרגולים בהטיית פעלים בזמן הווה ועבר.

Humanities
In writing and literature this week, students completed a reflection on the DC experience, and they started brainstorming ideas for a personal narrative. I’m excited to watch students develop their metacognitive and intrapersonal skills while also working on essay structure, word choice, and sentence construction.

In history, students took time to assess a variety of sources for what they might want to study for their Renaissance research paper. I’m looking forward to helping students navigate the research and writing process.
